Licences.ie, is a Government service for online applications and payments, operated by An Post and, as it is available to government departments, agencies and regulatory bodies under a Services Framework Agreement, no lengthy procurement process is necessary.
Upfront investment is not an issue as a modest fee is charged for every application submitted through the system. There is no long term commitment or volume levels required from clients and furthermore there are no additional fees payable by applicants using Licences.ie to submit applications and payments.
Licences.ie allows your organisation to digitise, receive, review, and approve applications for licences, permits, certificates and more. Licences.ie grants privileges to users based on the role assigned to them. The following are the key roles in the system:

- Publisher: Digitise and publish application forms, set price and workflow, share, subscribe to, import, and export forms;
- Processor: Receive, assess and respond to submitted applications, i.e. accept, reject, or request more information.
